This Wesco 230051 StairKing battery-powered aluminum stair-climbing hand truck can be used for transporting loads up to 850 lb. up and down stairs. A 1/2 HP electric motor with a single sealed rechargeable battery powers the ascent and descent of the truck up to a 70-stair capacity under a full load. The hand truck has a noseplate that measures 24 x 4 inches (W x D), and it measures 24 x 12 x 66 inches (W x D x H) overall. (W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back; H is height, the vertical distance from bottom to top.) The truck has two 6" moldon rubber wheels for maneuverability, and a built-in auto-rewind clasped cargo belt for securing the load. It comes with a battery, charger, and circuit breaker. This battery-powered aluminum stair-climbing hand truck is suitable for use in industrial and commercial material handling applications.
Hand trucks, also known as two-wheeled dollies, are used to transport heavy or bulky items, especially in commercial product distribution and delivery. Hand trucks are L-shaped, with handles at the top, two wheels at the bottom, and a small platform that touches the ground when the truck is upright. A load is placed on the platform and the truck is tilted back, balancing the weight over the wheels. Powered hand trucks have a platform that lifts the load up, or lowers it down, to reduce human labor. Some hand trucks may be convertible to platform trucks for moving large or cumbersome loads. Others fold flat for storage.
Wesco manufactures material handling equipment under the Wesco and Lexco brands. The company, founded in 1948, is headquartered in North Wales, PA.
